The early 1960s proved to be a most productive period, that culminated in Ruth's first two exhibitions in 1963. The first with the David Paul Gallery*in Chichester, returning the next year with a follow up show and the second at the Ashgate Gallery, Farnham. Ruth was also the runner up in the 1963 South of England Prize in Painting and by 1965 she was exhibiting her work at Primavera, Cambridge.
